JungKwanJang, KGC’s health supplement brand, ranked first in the global red ginseng and herbal dietary supplement markets for a 12th consecutive year, according to data from market researcher Euromonitor International.
The brand accounted for 44.3 percent of global red ginseng retail sales in 2024, up from 40.4 percent in 2020. It has led the category every year since the survey began in 2014.
JungKwanJang also ranked first in the broader herbal dietary supplement category with a 3.5 percent global market share.
KGC has been expanding the brand beyond its core red ginseng products. Its portfolio includes long-running lines such as Hongsamjung, Hongsamton and HwaaeRak, as well as newer products including Everytime and CheonNok, which emphasize convenience and a wider range of ingredients.
The company has also introduced supplements containing agarwood and mushrooms.
Flagship product Hongsamjung Everytime has generated more than 1.7 trillion won ($1.24 billion) in sales since its launch in 2012. Its annual sales have surpassed 100 billion won.
JungKwanJang operates more than 1,100 stores in Korea and distributes its products through online channels and retailers including Olive Young.
Overseas, the brand exports to more than 40 countries, including China, Japan and markets across Southeast Asia.
In the US, JungKwanJang entered Sprouts Farmers Market in 2024 and sells its products through Costco and Amazon. It also operated a promotional booth at KCON 2026 in Los Angeles to introduce Korean red ginseng to international consumers.
“We will continue expanding our global business based on the quality of our products,” a KGC official said.
