shoulder surgery due to a long-standing injury.
On July 1, 2026, Woojin shared the news through LNGSHOT’s official Instagram,
explaining that his right shoulder had frequently dislocated for a long time. He
stated, “Recently, I felt more discomfort during activities, so I had an
examination at the hospital.” The examination revealed a rupture in his joint
and ligaments, leading to immediate surgery.
While daily life is possible, Woojin confirmed that he needs to avoid strenuous
movements and focus on sufficient rest for recovery. He reassured fans, saying,
“I will concentrate on my recovery as much as possible while also diligently
participating in activities. Please don’t worry too much. I love you.”
Following an outpouring of concern from fans, Woojin further elaborated on the
fan communication platform Bubble. He explained that he had tried to avoid
surgery but it was necessary due to habitual dislocation, which caused bone
collision, a torn labrum, and ruptured ligaments. He added that his unusual
flexibility had prevented him from realizing the severity of his already poor
condition.
LNGSHOT, a four-member male group, debuted in January and is managed by Jay
Park’s More Vision. The group recently released their second mixtape, ‘4 Show
Boys Volume 2: 4 Show Bill,’ and performed as a headliner at the 2nd NBA Rising
Stars Invitational on June 28.
