Daewoo Engineering & Construction said Wednesday it will begin sales in September for Dujeong Station Prugio Grand Peak, a new apartment complex in Seongjeong-dong, Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province.
Located in Cheonan’s established Seobuk-gu downtown area, the complex is positioned to serve workers at nearby industrial sites, including Samsung Display’s Cheonan Campus.
It is also within commuting distance of the Cheonan No. 2, 3 and 4 General Industrial Complexes and the Baekseok Agricultural Industrial Complex.
The project is expected to benefit from Cheonan’s role as a residential center in the so-called Samsung Belt.
At a government briefing on the Chungcheong region’s advanced industry strategy in July, Samsung Group announced plans to invest 140 trillion won ($100 billion) in the region to develop a hub for advanced materials and components.
Residents will have access to commercial and public infrastructure across Cheonan’s old downtown, Dujeong and Buldang districts. Department stores, large discount retailers, Dankook University Hospital, financial institutions, government offices and cultural facilities are located nearby.
The complex is connected to major roads including Beonnyeong-ro and Dongseo-daero, while the Cheonan interchange on the Gyeongbu Expressway provides access to surrounding regions.
Dujeong Station and Cheonan Station are also accessible, offering rail connections within Cheonan and to the Greater Seoul area.
The development will feature primarily south-facing, slab-style buildings designed to improve natural lighting and ventilation. Wide spacing between buildings is intended to create a more open residential environment.
Community amenities such as a sauna, shared office, coin laundry, indoor golf range, fitness center, group exercise room, guesthouse and playroom for young children will be provided.
Security features will include surveillance cameras, emergency call systems and parking controls using license plate recognition.
“We aim to provide high-quality housing based on the site’s transportation links, nearby amenities and residential demand from surrounding industrial complexes,” a Daewoo E&C sales official said.
