N Seoul Tower opens early-bird sales for Namsan Wine Festa

N Seoul Tower has opened early-bird ticket sales for the Namsan Wine Festa slated for Oct. 12 to Nov. 8, its operator CJ Foodville said Monday.

Titled “Fall in R.E.D. Festa,” the event will bring together wine, food and seasonal activities against the backdrop of Namsan’s fall foliage. The program includes Namsan Wine Festa and Autumn Taste Road, featuring limited-time menu items from food and beverage outlets at the tower.

Namsan Wine Festa takes place Oct. 17-18 and Oct. 24-25 at the N Seoul Tower’s plaza. Marking its ninth edition this fall, the event will offer more than 200 varieties of wine along with food and live music.

CJ Foodville renamed the event from Namsan Wine Fair to Namsan Wine Festa this year to emphasize activities beyond wine tasting and sales. The four-day program includes live jazz performances, games, lucky draws and a wine market where visitors can purchase bottles.

The event has drawn immense interest from foreigners as they accounted for about 20 percent of the total visitors during the wine festival’s spring edition this year.

Early-bird sales began Monday, with tickets to be released sequentially through designated channels including N Seoul Tower’s Naver Smart Store, Kakao Reservation, Dailyshot and Coupang. Advance purchases offer discounts of up to 35 percent off the regular price.

An adult ticket, priced at 60,000 won, includes unlimited tastings of about 200 wines, a Riedel tasting glass, a chilling bag, a wine-glass holder strap and two food vouchers. It also includes an N Seoul Tower observatory ticket, normally priced at 29,000 won, and a package of coupons for participating food and beverage brands. Children’s tickets cost 10,000 won and come with a food voucher, a bead ice cream coupon, access to game booths and admission to the observatory.

In the meantime, Autumn Taste Road will run throughout the entire festival period of 28 days with participating restaurants offering seasonal items ranging from Korean snack food, pizza, burgers and desserts to French and Korean grill courses.
