The cast of KBS2’s hit historical romance “Love in the Moonlight” is reuniting for a special travel variety program to celebrate the series’ 10th anniversary.
Titled “Love in the Moonlight Again,” the two-episode special has already completed filming and will feature five lead cast members ─ Park Bo-gum, Kim You-jung, Jin Young, Chae Soo-bin and Kwak Dong-yeon ─ on a one-night, two-day getaway.
According to the production team, the five actors traveled to Hongcheon, Gangwon Province, on Aug. 4. The atmosphere of the trip was reportedly cheerful, reminiscent of the cast’s time together on set a decade ago.
The reunion came together after Park suggested doing something to celebrate the drama’s 10th anniversary, and the other four cast members agreed to join.
The special will highlight both the cast’s memories of the drama and their enduring friendship, airing on Sept. 16 at 8:30 p.m. and Sept. 23 at 9 p.m.
“Love in the Moonlight” was a youth historical romance set during the Joseon era and was one of KBS2’s biggest hits of 2016, reaching a peak nationwide viewership of 23.3 percent.
