Korean trio chases Tour Championship berths

The BMW Championship, the second stop of the 2026 FedEx Cup playoffs, begins Thursday at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, with three South Korean players seeking places in the season-ending Tour Championship.

The $20 million tournament features the top 50 players in the FedEx Cup standings, with no cut. Only the top 30 after four rounds will advance to the Tour Championship.

Kim Si-woo enters the week fourth in the standings and is virtually assured of advancing. The tournament will be played on a 7,448-yard, par-70 setup at Bellerive, which has previously hosted the PGA Championship and BMW Championship. The long layout features several par-4 holes exceeding 450 yards, placing an emphasis on accurate approach shots with longer clubs.
