Musinsa to open first Philippine store in Southeast Asia push

Musinsa said Wednesday it would accelerate its expansion in Southeast Asia by opening its first offline stores in the Philippines, starting with a Musinsa Standard location in Manila this year.

The expansion follows an exclusive distribution agreement signed July 17 with ACX Holdings, a distribution affiliate of Ayala Group, one of the Philippines’ largest conglomerates.

ACX Holdings manages the entry and operation of global brands in the Philippine market. Under the agreement, Musinsa will serve as the company’s fashion business partner, tapping its local distribution network and market expertise to build a domestic presence.

Musinsa said it sees the Philippines as a key consumer market in Southeast Asia, with a population of more than 110 million and a large young population driving steady growth in fashion demand. Transaction value on Musinsa’s global Store in the Philippines grew by an average of about 50 percent annually from 2023 to 2025.

The company plans to expand its offline presence in major commercial areas across the Philippines, focusing on Musinsa Standard. In the second half, it will open its first Musinsa Standard store at Glorietta, a popular shopping mall in Makati, Manila’s major business and shopping district.

“The Philippines is a strategically important market with strong growth potential, driven by young consumers’ growing interest in Korean fashion brands,” a Musinsa official said.

“Through close cooperation with ACX Holdings, we will strengthen Musinsa Standard’s brand competitiveness and provide Philippine consumers with a new K-fashion experience.”
