Signiel Seoul, the five-star landmark hotel in Korea’s tallest building, Lotte Tower, was selected as one of the hotels to be included in “World’s Best 100 Hotels” this year by the global travel magazine Travel + Leisure, the hotel said Wednesday.
Travel + Leisure is a New York-based global travel magazine that conducts an annual “World’s Best Awards” survey with its 180,000 readers around the world.
In the hotel and resort sector, the best accommodations are selected based on a comprehensive evaluation of their facilities, location, service, food and value.
Housed within the 87th to 101st floors of the Lotte World Tower, the hotel features a panoramic skyline view of Seoul in all of its 235 rooms.
The hotel’s facilities and services, including the Little Signiel Spa, where guests can enjoy high-end aroma therapy, and the Lounge Salon de Signiel, also received favorable reviews.
Travel + Leisure’s contributor Reese Kwon noted that the egg dish from the hotel’s modern French restaurant Stay was the best egg dish she had ever eaten.
“We are glad that our employees’ constant efforts to provide a special experience to customers have led to winning the award,” the hotel’s general manager, Bae Hyun-mi, said.
“We will continue to introduce services and content that combine Signiel’s philosophy and strive for customer satisfaction,” she said.
In celebration of winning the award, Signiel Seoul offers a two-step upgrade of either room type or view for guests booking hotels between Aug. 31 and Sept. 30.
The upgrade is available after signing up for its rewards membership on Signiel Seoul’s official website, where guests select a room and apply the upgrade upon reservation.
Signiel Seoul was also selected as the first and only hotel in Korea as one of the world’s 50 best hotels by Conde Nast Traveler last October.
