Thailand introduces privilege card to Koreans

The Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul presented the Thailand Privilege Card program to a Korean audience Wednesday, highlighting long-term residency, travel and lifestyle benefits.

Thailand Privilege Card, a state-owned enterprise under the Tourism Authority of Thailand, offers memberships that include long-term visas ranging from five to 20 years, airport VIP services, government concierge support and lifestyle benefits.

“Korea is one of our top 10 member nationalities in the world,” Thailand Privilege Card President Manatase Annawat said.

Annawat said Korean retirees, investors and frequent travelers are among the program’s key customers.

Thailand Privilege is also seeking to recruit agents in Korea and promote its one-year Privilege Pass, which offers travel and lifestyle benefits but does not include a visa.

Placing the initiative within broader bilateral economic cooperation, Thai Ambassador to Korea Tanee Sangrat highlighted opportunities to deepen investment, tourism and business ties, including in real estate and high-end tourism.

“Businesspeople, real estate investors and buyers, as well as high-end tourists, are all important potential groups for Thailand,” Sangrat said.
