Four in 10 US music consumers are familiar with BTS, while 46 percent view the K-pop group favorably, according to a recent survey.
The group’s agency BigHit Music said Friday, quoting second-quarter data from global music data company Luminate, that 42 percent of music consumers in the US were familiar with BTS, while 46 percent viewed the group favorably.
The average recognition rate for all artists surveyed stood at 24 percent, putting BTS 18 percentage points above the overall average.
BTS’ favorability rating was its highest since the group was first included in the survey in 2021. The figure rose 12 percentage points compared to 34 percent in the first survey.
“Luminate’s latest survey results show that BTS has established broad mainstream appeal in the US beyond its fandom, backed by high recognition and favorability,” BigHit Music said.
