Yeonjun holds first US solo concert at LA's storied Troubadour

Tomorrow X Together member takes stage at venue once graced by Elton John, Harry Styles and BTS ahead of first pitch at Dodger Stadium

Tomorrow X Together’s Yeonjun held his first solo concert in the US at the Troubadour in Los Angeles on Wednesday, taking the stage at the storied venue that has hosted artists including Elton John, Harry Styles and BTS.

The concert, held as part of Billboard’s “One Night Only” live special, marked another milestone in Yeonjun’s expanding solo activities in the US.

Yeonjun opened with the main track from his second EP, “No Labels: Part 02,” followed by “Ice Cream” and “Vanilla.” He performed the explicit version of “Fxxking Star” live for the first time and also sang “Baby Wassup?” and “Long Way Long Ride,” before closing with an encore of his solo mixtape track “Ggum.”

The Troubadour has played a notable role in the US debuts of several major artists. Elton John made his US debut there in 1970, Harry Styles staged his first solo concert at the venue in 2017, and BTS performed there during its first US concert in 2014.

“I felt at ease while preparing this album. I think I learned more about how to enjoy the process,” Yeonjun said in a statement. “Because of the huge support I got for my first mini album, I was able to try even more varied styles this time.”

The concert followed a string of US appearances. Yeonjun became the second Korean solo artist after BTS’ Jungkook to perform on ABC’s “Good Morning America” Summer Concert Series and the first Korean artist invited to Z100’s Summer Bash Presented by Wells Fargo.

Yeonjun also released the music video for “Fxxking Star” Thursday and is set to throw the ceremonial first pitch at the Los Angeles Dodgers’ game against the Milwaukee Brewers later that day as part of Korean Heritage Night.
