The Korea Financial Industry Foundation is offering financial support to foreign residents and young people from immigrant backgrounds who are looking to improve their Korean-language skills.
Those who take the Test of Proficiency in Korean, or TOPIK, on or after Jan. 1, 2026, can receive reimbursement of up to 50,000 won ($35) after submitting their score report. The program, jointly run with the Labor Human Rights Center, will support 1,000 applicants on a first-come, first-served basis.

- Eligibility: Foreign residents and young people from immigrant backgrounds aged 18 or older who have lived in Korea for more than one year
- Who can apply: Foreign nationals from migrant-background families, young people who migrated to Korea during childhood or adolescence, overseas Koreans who have moved to Korea, naturalized Koreans and other eligible foreign residents
- Support: Up to 50,000 won toward the TOPIK application fee
- Requirements: Must have taken the TOPIK on or after Jan. 1, 2026 and submit a score report
- Limit: One reimbursement per person; previous recipients cannot apply again
- Number selected: 1,000, on a first-come, first-served basis
- Application period: Until all slots are filled
