North Korea fired unidentified projectiles into the East Sea on Thursday, according to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The military did not immediately disclose details such as the type, number or flight range of the projectiles.
If confirmed to be ballistic missiles, Thursday’s launch would mark North Korea’s 10th ballistic missile launch event this year, coming 42 days since the North test-fired tactical ballistic missiles and other weapons on June 25.
